After 2 days’ delay, men’s Olympic downhill starts

WHISTLER, British Columbia – Competition in the Olympic men’s downhill has begun, after poor weather and snow conditions forced two days of delay.

The first skier down the course was Patrik Jaerbyn of Sweden.

The course was affected by temperatures that were consistently well above freezing, mixed with snow, rain and fog.
