B.C Snowshoe Adventure Series continues Saturday

BEAVER CREEK – The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series continues to kick up snow Saturday. The third installment of the five-event winter series will take place starting and finishing at Creekside Park in Beaver Creek.”We change up our snowshoe course from month to month,” said Amy Hornyak of Highline Sports & Entertainment. “By offering new scenic views in Beaver Creek and creating a mix of manageable powder spots, groomers and single-track, the event becomes a fresh experience for returning snowshoers.” The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series features the East-West 5K Quest a recreational walk and run, a competitive 10K race for adults, and the “Dash For Cash,” an all-out sprint. The series also offers a Kids K, an introduction to snowshoeing for pint size participants 12 and younger. The Kids K is free to kids accompanied by a parent. No children under 5 please. All snowshoeing activities get under way at 11 a.m.Individual race entry is $20 in advance by visiting Ptarmigan Sports in Edwards or online at http://www.bcsnowshoe.com. Day-of registration is available from 9-10:45 a.m. for $25 per person at the base of the slopeside escalators. Nike and Atlas Snow-Shoe Company will be providing limited free demos and basic instruction to participants prior to each race. Demos are available on a first-come first-serve basis at the Creekside Park start/finish location.Vail, Colorado
