This just in — Eagle County still has some really good runners.
Chsaanow.com handed out its all-state awards on Tuesday. Nov. 14, and the usual suspects from Battle Mountain and Eagle Valley are still fast.
The 4A Runner of the Year is the Huskies’ Elizabeth Constien. This is not exactly a surprise as she won the state meet last month.
She is first team all-state, according to CHSAA. The second team includes Eagle Valley’s Joslin Blair and Battle Mountain’s Lizzy Harding. Honorable mention-picks are the Huskies’ Naomi Harding and Alex Raichart.
It’s no surprise to see the Huskies bringing in more hardware as the team defended its state title this fall.
To that end, the 4A Coach of the Year happens to be Battle Mountain’s Rob Parish.
