BEAVER CREEK – Grab a friend and free your heels at the Beaver Creek Telemark Workshop this Saturday, March 10. First-time and expert telemark skiers can learn the basics or practice their skills in a relaxed and supportive learning environment. Instruction will be provided by Beaver Creek Ski School. Saturday’s workshop is open to men and women of all ages and abilities, from experts to “never-evers,” ages 17 and up. Participants concentrate on technique and movement analysis. The workshop runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants should meet at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at 8:30 a.m. Participants can rent equipment at a discounted rate from top manufactures including boots from Garmont and Scarpa and skis from Black Diamond, K2 and Fischer. Adults who need to rent equipment for the day are encouraged to arrive between 8-8:15 a.m. to allow time for proper fitting. Price is $75 per person for the workshop lesson only. Lift ticket and lesson is available for $135 per person.
