They could be the best in the world. Local snowboarders Dylan Bidez and Broc Waring were recently named to the U.S. World Junior Snowboarding team. The only problem is, they wont able to find out how they stack up against some kids they havent see ride.Bidez, of Minturn, and Waring, of Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, got the nod for the halfpipe team, but the event was canceled due to a lack of snow. Halfpipe is the only discipline that will be left off the list for World Juniors, set for March 11-13 in Bad Gastein, Austria.Kim Krahulec, also of SSCV, was selected to the snowboardcross team. Krahulec was happy with her bid, as well as her appearance in the majority of World Cup races in the U.S.Me going to three out of four is really cool, said Krahulec, who is in Stoneham, Quebec, for a race this weekend.Nathan Park, a coach for SSCV, was selected along with Steamboats Jon Casson to lead both U.S. boardercross teams in Austria.Bidez and Waring are in Vermont this weekend for the U.S. Open.
