Bode Miller to compete in World Cup
LOS ANGELES – Bode Miller is coming back to skiing.
The three-time Olympian says he’s rejoining the U.S. Ski Team, and if he qualifies for the Vancouver Olympics, he will compete.
Miller plans to ski during the upcoming World Cup season after taking a long break to contemplate his career.
Miller, speaking at a news conference Thursday, says he has enjoyed his time away, but that he believes he still has more to accomplish in his long career.
He is a two-time World Cup overall champion and won two silver medals at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. But Miller made more headlines for his late-night partying than his skiing at the 2006 Turin Olympics, where he did not win a medal.
