Broncos assigned RB Kolby Smith off waivers
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Denver Broncos have added depth at running back after being assigned Kolby Smith off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team also released rookie linebacker Korey Bosworth and punter A.J. Trapasso on Tuesday. With Trapasso’s departure, Britton Colquitt is the only punter on the Broncos roster.
The 5-foot-11, 219-pound Smith was waived by Kansas City on Monday after three seasons with the Chiefs. He rushed for 540 yards and three touchdowns in 27 games.
Smith joins a stable of Broncos tailbacks that also includes Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter and J.J. Arrington.
