Broncos basking in the glow of victory

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels is allowing his players to relish in the aftermath of Sunday’s 20-17 overtime victory against New England a little longer.

McDaniels gave the team the day off today – their first “Victory Monday” of the season despite winning their first five games. Players league-wide also have Tuesday off.

“You try to give them a little extra rest, and also a reward for playing a tough game, physical game,” McDaniels said. “Trying to give them a bone as we head into a long week.”

Players will return to the facility on Wednesday to begin preparing for next week’s Monday Night Football game at San Diego, and should expect all of the warm-fuzziness from the New England victory to be gone.
