Broncos mascot Thunder dies at 27

DENVER, Colorado ” Former Denver Broncos mascot Thunder has died after surgery at age 27.

The Arabian stallion appeared in two Super Bowls and was mascot for the Broncos from 1993 to 2003. His registered name was JB Kobask.

Thunder was owned by Sharon Magness-Blake. The Littleton Large Animal Clinic says the horse died on Saturday during surgery, but no details were given.



The current mascot for the Broncos is called Thunder II.
