Broncos’ Phillip Lindsay to attend Pro Bowl as NFL social media correspondent
Lindsay won’t play in the AFC versus NFC showdown on Jan. 27 in Orlando, Fla. But Denver and the league managed a way to get him there, anyway.
Lindsay will serve as an NFL social media correspondent during Pro Bowl weekend and will have travel costs provided, a team source confirmed Tuesday. Pro Football Talk first reported the news. Lindsay, who rushed for 1,037 yards with 10 total touchdowns, is expected to provide analysis and commentary through the NFL’s variety of social media channels.
The 2018 Broncos featured two Pro Bowl picks in Lindsay and linebacker Von Miller (seventh selection).
Lindsay’s rookie season ended Week 16 at Oakland due to a wrist injury suffered on a third-quarter rushing attempt. He now has an opportunity to soak in valuable aspects of the Pro Bowl, such as networking with fellow star running backs James Conner (Steelers), Melvin Gordon (Chargers), Todd Gurley (Rams), Saquon Barkley (Giants) and Ezekiel Elliott (Cowboys).
