Broncos take Baylor’s J.D. Walton in 3rd round
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Denver Broncos have taken another offensive lineman, picking J.D. Walton of Baylor in the third round of the NFL draft.
Walton was selected with the 80th overall pick Friday. The Broncos also took offensive lineman Zane Beadles of Utah in the second round (45th overall).
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Walton is listed as a center and guard. The Broncos are looking for a player to fill in at center after losing starter Casey Wiegmann to Kansas City.
Before Day 2 of the draft, coach Josh McDaniels met with first-round picks Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow.
