BWL comes up big at Sunlight
The Vail/Beaver Creek Buddy Werner League traveled Sunday to Sunlight and retained the Western Council 2006 State Ski Championships, competing against other teams from around the state.Beaver Creek Buddy Werner League took 30 athletes from J6’s to J3’s and enjoyed the sunny weather and spirit of competition with other athletes from all over the Western Slope.
Podium finishes are only a part of this experience since all of these athletes will build upon this for future athletic endeavors. Racers enjoyed their day in the sun with teammates, coaches, and their families.The Vail/Beaver Creek Buddy Werner League would like to thank the following for all their support and generosity: Vail Resorts, including Jim Roberts, Race Crew, Ski Patrol, John Neufeld and the Cat Crew, Kara Heide and The Vail Valley Foundation.Our continued thanks to all our volunteer coaches, and parents for their hours of service to a program that continues to satisfy the need for local youth recreation and ski racing.
