Charity golf tourney coming to Cotton Ranch

The Christie Lodge and Grand Timber Lodge will host the Christel House Open Golf Tournament June 12 at the Cotton Ranch Club in Gypsum. This event is a global, same-day charity tournament that spans six continents, and will also benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.From Queensland, Australia, to Oahu, Hawaii, the event will have more courses in participating countries than any other one-day charity tournament in the world.The winning team from the Cotton Ranch Club tournament will receive their choice of a four-day, three-night “golf getaway” to Myrtle Beach, S.C., or World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. The prize package provides accommodations and some complimentary golf for the winning foursome during their stay.All of the proceeds will benefit the children of Christel House and the Vail Valley Charitable Fund. Christel House is an international charity focused on helping impoverished, orphaned and abandoned children to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society.
