Devils’ Bantams take two from Oak Creek

Last weekend, the Eagle Valley Devil Bantams took care of business sweeping Oak Creek, 7-1, and, 5-2, scores bringing their record to an impressive 15-2 with five games left before the playoffs begin here in Eagle on the first weekend in March. Dalton Casady stole the show in the first game, scoring a hat trick in his first game back from a broken wrist. Playing with a cast on his right arm, Casady got the Devils going early, putting home a rebound of a Jamison Bair shot. Nick Keogh then tipped in a Guy Garth shot with a helper going to Bergin Tjossem, who played a great game on defense for the Devils. Casady closed out the first period with another helper form Bair. Max Ward got two unassisted goals in the second period, and Cooper Adams and Casady added third period goals for the 7-1 final. Brad Beaudin got the win in net.In the second game, Kevin Mansfield got the Devils going early with a goal in the first minute, then adding another in the first period on a great individual effort. Ward added two more goals in the second game, and Coulter Stansell played terrific in net, stopping three Oak Creek breakaways to get the win.The Devils travel to Glenwood Springs tonight for a matchup with the Grizzlies.
