It’s the week of the Masters, and the Eagle Valley girls’ golf team has tuned up its game.Jeanette Baker fired a season-best 90, leading the Devils to a third-place finish Monday at The Hill Invitational in Glenwood Springs. The Devils with 311 strokes finished behind the host Demons (281) and Moffat County (284).Eagle Valley’s Nicole Wells also carded her best round of the seaosn with a 109. Caitlin Yanger rounded it out for the Devils with a 112.Battle Mountain struggled at The Hill. Kaleigh Armitage topped the Huskies with a 146, followed by Hanna Warmenhaven (160) and Allie O’Connor (161).The Huskies showed some improvement Tuesday at the Coal Ridge Invitational at Lakota Canyon. Andrea Kedrowski had a 131, while Armitage and Julya Chapman carded a 143 and 151, respectively.Both teams head to Rifle Creek Tuesday. The Round will serve as a tuneup for regionals to be held there in May.
