Eagle-Vail Golf Club set to open 10 holes by April 25
EAGLE-VAIL — The Eagle-Vail Golf Club has announced that its driving range and practice facility will open on Saturday for regular season play. Ten holes on the golf course will open on Saturday, April 25. The Devlin/Von Hagge designed course is one of the most affordable golfing opportunities in the Vail Valley.
The driving range and practice facility at Eagle-Vail Golf Club will be the first to open for the 2015 season east of Avon, open from 10 a.m. to dusk daily. The driving range comprises multiple targets and both artificial and natural grass teeing areas, with an expansive putting green. The chipping green includes a bunker and greenside mounding to represent the assorted lies you may encounter on the course. The new range ball machine accepts cash and credit cards, with a bucket of balls starting at $5.
‘GREAT EARLY SEASON’
“While the warm weather is not great for skiing, it allows Eagle-Vail Golf Club to be the first course upvalley to open its driving range and golf course,” said Eagle-Vail Director of Golf Ben Welsh. “It’s going to be a great early season on the course.”
On April 25, Eagle-Vail Golf Club will open 10 holes including holes 1-8, 11 and 12. Golfers are welcome to take advantage of the early season rates of $35 for 10 holes or $50 to play all day.
The Eagle-Vail Golf Club’s clubhouse restaurant, Whiskey Hill Golf Grill, will also open April 25 and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days per week, the Whiskey Hill Golf Grill offers nightly dinner specials, including Monday Night Burger night, Wednesday night Pork Tacos and more.
