Juniors Jessica Jagger, Sara LyBarger, Brianna Ehlert and senior Cathryn Reynolds all landed on the first team, while senior Lindsay Kunkel and freshman Kayla Phillips earned selections to the honorable-mention team.

“Cathryn ended up being our leading hitter,” head coach Brad Stiles said. “Sarah was without a doubt the best pitcher in the league.”

He continued with the accolades: “Jessica Jagger, I would place her as the best player in the league. She played a spotless shortstop for us. And Brianna had a real solid year at a trough position, which is third base.”

Kunkel and Phillips both played outfield for the Devils.

“Lyndsay was a solid centerfielder,” Stiles said. “She had the least errors on the team among all starters. And as for Kayla, until the final two weeks of the season, she had one of the highest batting averages in the state.”

Eagle Valley won the Western Slope League and the district tournament, before falling to the No. 1 team in the state in regionals.
