Edwards’ Cameron Brown readies for season

Battle Mountain’s Cameron Brown is tuning up his golf game this summer, preparing for his senior season come August. Brown squeezed in 17 days of competitive golf in June, and a win on the Rocky Mountain Junior Tour at Marianna Buttes in Loveland. Brown’s 36-hole total was 2-over-par 146. Brown also posted six rounds in red numbers which included second-place showing at the Colorado PGA Junior Championship (a three-under par 137), a fourth-place tie at the Colorado Junior Medal Play and second place on the RMGT at the Omni Interlocken. The top-40 male golfers ages 15-18 qualify for the Colorado Tournament of Champions in October. Brown is ranked No. 10 and has 14 days of tournament play in July, culminating in a trip to Virginia for an American Junior Golf World Qualifier along with some college visits.
