Florida Panthers train at Dobson starting Monday

Admission for the scrimmage will be $5 per person at the door.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Vail Junior Hockey Association. VJHA members will be able to attend the general-admission event for free, but must provide a membership card at the door or wear their team sweater. Seating at Dobson is limited and fans will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Panthers will be training in Vail from Monday until Thursday. The team will hold morning practices each day and scrimmage from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

The entire Panthers roster will be training in Vail. The roster includes NHL stars such as winger Valeri Bure, goalie Roberto Luongo and defensemen Sandis Ozolinsh and Dmitry Yushkevich. Also in attendance will be 2002 first-round pick Jay Bouwmeester. The high-altitude training camp will mark the first time the Panthers organization has trained in Vail.
