Free lessons at Vail Golf Club on May 31
VAIL, Colorado Returning for its second year, Vail Golf Club staff in Vail, Colorado, will offer free 15-minute lessons from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on May 31, in conjunction with the Professional Golf Association’s 12th Free Lesson Month. The lessons are for kids age 6 to 17 and take place throughout the summer. The cost is $85 per child, per session. The clinics are open to golfers are 50 and over. Cost is $20 per person and there a discounts available for seniors at the Happy Valley Grill and the Vail Golf Club pro shop. There also are weekly ladies’ clinics from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.,Thursdays, beginning June 4. These weekly classes are limited to 16 women and offer a variety of instruction including short and long game, equipment needs and course management. Cost is $25. There is the Coors Coaching Hour, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Thursdays beginning June 4. The weekly program is limited to 25 people and includes unlimited range balls, two drink tickets and instruction from the Vail Golf Club professional staff.Finally, a new program, the “Art of Scoring,” which takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Sundays beginning June 7, is a small class to help golfers shoot lower scores by improving various swings.
