Funke leads EVIHL at All-Star Break

Funke Skate and Hockey Supply leads the pack at 3-0, followed by B.J. Painting at 2-1. The High Rollers hold down third with a 2-1 mark while Vail Resorts and Crossroads Realty are still looking for their first wins of the season.

In week 3 action, the High Rollers rolled past Crossroads behind six goals from Colin Kingston. Joel Perez had a hat trick for Crossroads. Funke took down Vail Resorts, courtesy of a Dave Paige hat trick and two from Brian Deem.

Eric Eves’ hat trick lifted B.J. Painting to a 6-2 win over the High Rollers. Slade Cogswell also scored for B.J. Painting. Cavan Havlik and Nick Spanel scored for the Rollers.

There was only one game played in week 2 last week, but it was a good one with Funke topping the High Rollers 8-6. Sean Pelletier and David Bishop had two goals each for Funke, while Havlik had a hat trick for the High Rollers.

The puck drops on Week 4 Sunday at the Pavilion with Vail Resorts making up a host of games. V.R. takes on the High Rollers at 5 p.m., followed by Crossroads at 6 and B.J. Painting at 7. At 8 p.m., the EVIHL will hold the all-star game and a skills competition.
