Glenwood booters blank Huskies

The only problem is that that list didn’t include finding the back of the net in a 2-0 loss to the first-place Demons.

“We did really well. I was very impressed,” Huskies coach Kate Steffens said. “We’ve been working on our offense all week, shooting within the box, shooting under pressure, shooting outside of the 18. We’ve been reviewing our defense as well. We just couldn’t put the ball in the net ultimately.”

Glenwood did so in the 10th minute on a penalty kick from Brieanne Rippy. In the second half, Rippy assisted teammate Ashley Jentzsch for some insurance.

Battle Mountain, 2-4 league and 2-6 overall, heads to Palisade Saturday.
