Henry nears school discus mark
Playing the role of Maxwell Smart last weekend at the Palisade Invitational was Battle Mountain’s Josh Henry, who missed the school record in the discus by one inch.
Henry threw for 143 feet, 5 inches, to beat all comers. Brandon Straub, who set the school mark last year, is sitting at 143-6.
Meanwhile, Seth Kissinger wasn’t too thrilled with his throw of 45-9 in the shot, but that was still good for second place.
Other podium finishers included Doug Mason, who was fourth in the 300 hurdles, and Kristin Kelly, who took fifth in the discus.
Battle mountain is next in action Saturday at the Demon Invitational at Glenwood Springs.
