RIFLE — This isn’t funny anymore.

Battle Mountain baseball fell to Rifle, 11-10, on Thursday, as a part of a continuing string of tight loses.

Despite being competitive with the entire 4A Slope, the Huskies are 4-9 overall and 0-9 in league.

Battle Mountain is at Basalt on May 2 after spring break.

VMS soccer wins again

RANGELY — Vail Mountain School soccer continued its tour of the great state of Colorado on Thursday with a win at Rangely.

VMS (9-0) is definitely making the round of the Centennial State. The Gore Rangers were in Denver on Wednesday, Rangely on Thursday and are in Basalt today.

Doubtless, the Prince of Paonia and his charges are enjoying these journeys.
