A Chadwick at Battle Mountain is not a novel concept. Football’s Beau Chadwick is the third of four from his family to attend Battle Mountain. So, what better family to start Homecoming week with in Huskies Nation. Chadwick will suit up for the Huskies as a tailback and safety for the black and gold Friday night vs. Valley.

Here’s the rundown on Chadwick:

Date of birth: May, 4, 1986

Parents: Dawn and Charles Chadwick

Siblings: Tai, 21, Jamie, 20, and Jessie, 14

Class: Senior

Position: Tailback and safety

How excited are you for Homecoming?: “Pretty excited. Valley’s a tough team. We’re still trying to have fun.”

The team’s off to a tough start and sometimes football gets a bad rap from the student body. How do you deal with the situation?: “I don’t listen to it. I love football and it’s fun. So, I don’t care what people say. If we win, it makes it even better. If we lose, I still have fun.”

What’s the hitting like?: This weekend against South Park. I took some pretty good licks.”

How do you feel the morning after a game?: “Pretty sore. I’ve got the icy-hot pads. But, I have to work on Sundays, too. So, I don’t get much rest.”

What’s fun about football?: “Pretty much everything. I’ve always done more defense but, this year, I’m on offense. I love running the ball and, defense, it’s just fun to hit somebody.”

Best moment on the field: “After you make a touchdown, it feels great. The whole team comes and storms you.”

Most embarrassing moment: “I’m embarrassed when I miss a tackle.”

Funniest teammate: Chad Shoulders
