“No, I wouldn’t say that,” Huskies head coach Jade Kersey said. “We’ve got some things to work on. But we’d rather not play our best game and win than play our best and lose. But we’ll continue to work on things and improve as our competition gets better. The challenges only get harder.”

Sophomore Austin Chow added two goals for Battle Mountain, which improved to 6-1 overall. Brad Meyers added a goal, while Paul Agneberg added another. The lone goal for Machebeuf was scored late on a breakaway.

Next up for Battle Mountain is a rematch against Machebeuf tonight at Dobson Arena. The puck drops at 6 p.m.
