Kowalczyk gets 5-year extension as Colorado St. AD
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State athletic director Paul Kowalczyk has signed a five-year contract extension.
It does not include a salary increase.
The extension takes effect July 1 and runs through June 30, 2015.
Kowalczyk joined Colorado State as athletic director in April 2006 after spending six years as athletic director at Southern Illinois.
Among his hires are football coach Steve Fairchild – after the Rams let go longtime coach Sonny Lubick – and men’s basketball coach Tim Miles.
He also took part in negotiations to extend the Colorado-Colorado State rivalry 11 more years, including 10 years guaranteed to be played at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver.
