Kowalczyk gets 5-year extension as Colorado St. AD

Associated Press

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State athletic director Paul Kowalczyk has signed a five-year contract extension.

It does not include a salary increase.

The extension takes effect July 1 and runs through June 30, 2015.

Kowalczyk joined Colorado State as athletic director in April 2006 after spending six years as athletic director at Southern Illinois.

Among his hires are football coach Steve Fairchild – after the Rams let go longtime coach Sonny Lubick – and men’s basketball coach Tim Miles.
