Late season golf available

The Vail Golf Club (970-479-2260) is still open with a three-tiered rate system. With cart, nonresidents can play for $65. The greens fees for Eagle County residents is $55 with carts, while Vail Recreation District taxplayers can ride for $45. Twilight, beginning at 3 p.m, and 9-hole rates are also available. Vail hopes to continue play until Nov. 1.

At Eagle Ranch (970-328-2882), nonresidents, Eagle County residents and town of Eagle golfers can play for $50, $40 and $30, respectively. At 1 p.m., twilight rates drop to $35, $28 and $20. In both cases, cart fees are an extra $17 per person.

Mondays through Thursdays, Cotton Ranch (970-524-6200) in Gypsum offers golf for $65 per person or $100 for two. On weekends, it’s $65 per person and twilight, starting at 2 p.m., is $40 per golfer. All rates include carts and golf balls.

The Sonnenalp Golf Club (970-477-5370) has greens fees of $87 before 2 p.m. The twilight rate is $60. Carts and range balls are included. At Beaver Creek (970-845-5775), the upper nine is still open through Oct. 20. The rates are $30 for nine holes and $60 for two times around the upper nine, including carts and range balls.
