Lightning at national qualifier

The Lightning Volleyball Club competed at the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier tournament the past two weeks.

Although the results were not what the girls had hoped for, the experience facing national level competetion was exciting and fun. The 15s and 16s played the first weekend. The 16s where missing some key players but still fought hard finishing third in their pool on the second day. They lost a hard fought match in the first round of bracket play to finish 101st out of 123 teams.

This was the first time many of the 15s have faced this level of competition. hey played hard and kept a great attitude throughout the tournament finishing tied for 117th. The 17s played last weekend and finished 85th out of 124 teams. They won two matches on Saturday to finish second in their pool. They lost 26,-24, 26-24, in the first round of bracket play on Sunday. All the teams enjoyed the weekend and look forward to continuing their success at the Power tournaments next weekend.
