Lost Lake Loop, take II
Vail, CO Colorado
After being postponed last week due to inclement weather, the Lost Lake Loop mountain bike race will take place Wednesday in Vail.
Starting at 5 p.m., the Little League race kicks off from the Lost Lake Parking Lot. At 5:45 the adult categories start from the base of Red Sandstone Road in the North Parking Lot.
Expert riders will take the long loop of the point-to-point course, which goes 14.7 miles and climbs more than 3,600 feet. The medium course runs 13.3 miles, with about 3,000 feet of climbing and the easy course runs 8.6 miles and has 2,250 feet of climbing.
Racers who picked up their number plates last week can bring them to Wednesday’s race.
Lost Lake Loop is the fifth of sixth races in the Vail and Beaver Creek Mountain Bike Race Series. For a full preview of the race, check out last week’s story.
The after party is at Whirled Peas at the Vail Golf Club.
