Oktoberfest Fun Run on Sunday
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL ” The Oktoberfest Fun Run, benefiting the Children’s Garden of Learning, is Sunday, and is opportunity for runners of all ages an abilities.
On Sunday, the run starts at Gore Creek Drive’s Checkpoint Charlie at 9 a.m. Participants may choose the 10K, 5K run/walk or the Kids 1K. Strollers are welcome as well.
The course will cover a similar route as in years past, and will head east out of Vail Village and over towards the Vail Golf Course. Runners will then make their way back to Vail Village for a finish at Checkpoint Charlie.
In addition to the races, a silent auction will be held with prizes including a 2007-2008 Vail Resorts Ski Pass. Kids can enjoy colorful activities in the Kidz Zone while parents, in need of an early morning remedy from Oktoberfest celebrations ,can take comfort in the Bloody Mary Bar.
To register for the Oktoberfest Fun Run, please visit http://www.vailoktoberfest.com. The cost is $20 pre-registration and $25 day-of registration at the race. Participants 18 and under pay $10 pre-registration and $10 day-of registration.
