Orton thriving with Broncos after leaving Chicago

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado – Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton keeps making the trade for Jay Cutler look like a wise move.
Orton, who is 18-2 at home in his career, is unbeaten through five starts since coming over from Chicago, and he’ll be chosen the conference offensive player of the week for the first time in his career, the NFL informed the Broncos on Tuesday.
Orton completed 35 of 48 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns in Denver’s 20-17 overtime win against the Patriots on Sunday. His 35 completions and 72.9 completion percentage were both career bests.
Orton’s only interception so far was a desperation heave picked off by Patriots receiver Randy Moss.
