Renowned speaker John O’Sullivan giving free presentation in Vail
VAIL — On Monday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Ski & Snowboard Club Vail will host renowned speaker John O’Sullivan along with Christian Mitter, head men’s alpine coach from the Norwegian Ski Team, for a night of free presentations in the Vail Mountain School auditorium.
O’Sullivan is the founder of the Changing the Game Project and is an internationally recognized and a sought-after speaker on the subject of creating positive coaching and parenting environments for youth sports. His book “Changing the Game: The Parents Guide to Raising Happy, High-Performing Athletes and Giving Youth Sports back to Our Kids” is a bestseller, and signed copies of the book will be available for purchase after his talk. Mitter, one of the most successful World Cup and Olympic coaches of our generation, will lead a presentation titled “Development from Club to Olympic Podium” and will have an opportunity for questions afterward. Mitter was personally responsible for coaching World Cup star Henrik Kristofferson from his youth to the Olympics.
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail runs a nations-leading continuing education program for its staff in October of each year and this year, the club has extended the invitation for O’Sullivan and Mitter’s talk to include the community at large.
Mitter’s’s presentation will be from 5 to 6 p.m.; O’Sullivan’s will follow. The public will have the opportunity to interact with both Mitter and O’Sullivan during and after the event.
