Saints fall to CRMS
EDWARDS – The pattern is developing and becoming familiar.
Gracen McGuckin to McKenzie O’Brien gave Vail Christian soccer a lead, but the Colorado Rocky Mountain School came back for a 2-1 Thursday afternoon at Freedom Park.
The visiting Oysters scored one minute after the Saints’ strike and went ahead in the second half.
“It was a very even contest,” Saints coach Geoff Bedrosian said. “Both sides had good chances. They just got the better of us. We look forward to seeing them again at their house.”
Vail Christian sees CRMS again on April 17. But before that, the Saints are at Basalt April 14.
Steamboat beats Devils soccer
GYPSUM – This is not a nice stretch of the schedule for Eagle Valley soccer – at Glenwood Springs Wednesday, home for Steamboat Springs Thursday and at Battle Mountain Saturday.
The Sailors defeated the Devils, 8-0, Thursday evening, though Eagle Valley trailed only 2-0 at the half.
“They’re just a strong and experienced team and they show us where our weaknesses are,” Devils coach Jason Rittmiller said. “They’ll always find them. … The frustrating thing about tonight is that we were down only 2-0, and then they walked away from us.”
