Saints Homecoming spotlight – Matt Seatvet
Everybody Loves Raymond. So does Vail Christian tight end and cornerback Matt Seatvet. It’s his favorite television show. Other favorite things for Seatvet are playing football and basketball for Vail Christian. The senior, who hopes to be a Jayhawk next year, will be out there today, hopefully helping the Saints to a Homecoming win vs. Maranatha Christian.

Born in: Dodge City, Kans., moved to the valley during first grade.

What do you like about football?: “Contact. I like to push guys and beat them off the line.”
What’s the hardest you’ve been hit on a pass: “Knocked me off my feet.”
What’s the perfect hit like?: “You don’t feel anything, and they feel it all.”
How excited are you for Homecoming?: “It’s going to be a good game. it’s going to be a physical, fun game.”
Best moment, playing football: “Probably a touchdown saving tackle against Silver State.”
Most embarrassing moment: “Either dropping a pass or missing a tackle.”
What’s Bob Isbell like as a coach?: “Great coach. Very inspiring.”
Best advice he’s given you?: “Play for the team, and not for yourself.”
Funniest teammate: Robbie Brgoch (Ed. note: That’s 2-for-2 for Robbie.)
