Ski and Snowboard Club Vail soars in Aspen

ASPEN, Colorado ” The Ski and Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV) moguls team dominated the holiday weekend in Aspen, taking first and second in competitions on both Saturday and Sunday.

The three-day event was part of the USSA Rocky Mountain Division moguls competitions. Saturday and Sunday were open moguls competitions, where there are no age restrictions. Monday was a dual-moguls event.

Heidi Kloser started her weekend off on a high note with a victory in the open moguls, where there are no age restrictions. SSCV teammate Kristi Waring took second.

Sunday was more of the same for SSCV. Kloser again claimed first place and Waring took second. Waring finished her weekend with a second-straight dual moguls win of the season.

Other SSCV athletes also fared well. Andre Lane took 11th place on Saturday and seventh on Sunday. Simon Lee finished in 23rd and Cooper Leith took 29th for SSCV.

The SSCV moguls team is back in action this weekend at Breckenridge.
