Stickney: Impact alignments

Tom Stickney

What happens when you impact the golf ball? Where are your hands and what are they doing? In this short article we will examine where your hands should be at impact in the short game and why.

The number one cause of poor greenside shots stems from the breakdown of the flat left wrist when you hit the ball. If you look at address you will notice that your left wrist is somewhat bent and your right wrist is flat to some degree- when you hit the ball these alignments are reversed, if they are not you will not be consistent. . .period.
