Vail Golf Club to open all 18 holes on Sunday
VAIL — The Vail Golf Club is opening up for play on Sunday.
The course will have 18 holes of golf available for play, with the first tee time at 9:30 a.m. The new fleet of electric golf carts will be arriving on June 1, and bike carts will be available on opening day.
New this year, the Vail Recreation District is offering season pass sales online, featuring an array of options for golfers. There has been no increase in pass pricing over 2015. Season passes and punch cards are also available for purchase at the Vail Golf Club Pro Shop by calling 970-479-2260 and by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Pass prices will go up on June 1, so don’t miss out on the early bird discount.
Golf operations and the pro shop for this summer will be headquartered in the temporary structure located adjacent to the driving range and near the starter building. Parking will be available in the lot south of the new building construction, and will be actively managed by the Vail Recreation District to coincide with construction needs.
The clubhouse renovation project is moving along quickly, with the cart barn area scheduled to be completed for the new Club Car fleet of 70 electric cars arriving on June 1. The anticipated date of completion is Sept. 1. The newly renovated clubhouse will feature expanded pro and Nordic shop facilities, the Grill on the Gore restaurant serving golfers and the public, expansive outdoor seating areas and new locker rooms, among many other improvements.
An enhanced community banquet room will feature views of the Gore Range and seating for events of up to 160 people. Bookings are now being accepted for weddings, meetings and social gatherings after Oct. 1. The wedding island will still be available for rent throughout this summer.
