Vail Rugby opens season Saturday Sports Sports | Jun 10, 2011 Daily file photo Vail Rugbyâs season opener is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford Park against Breckenridge. Then the team will be on the road for three weeks. The team attracts players from Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and many college players who want to improve their rugby skills by playing 15s during the summer at high altitude. Coaches have played rugby throughout the world. The team competes in Eastern Rockies Rugby Football Union (www.errfu.org/), competing in a mountain division. Food and beverages will be available for fans.
