Vail Valley golfer’s team 10th at Junior America’s Cup

PASADENA, Calif. – Vail Valley golfer Cameron Brown of Edwards was 60th after an 82 left him at 243 at the Boys Junior America’s Cup at Annandale Golf Club in Pasadena, Calif.
Brown’s Colorado Golf Association team finished 10th. Cody Kent, of Castle Rock, shot a 2-under-par 68 Thursday and Michael Lee, of Greeley, carded a 70. The Colorado team jumped up four spots to share 10th place with Oregon at 37-over-par 667.
Kent, who eagled a par-4 Thursday, placed 14th individually at 9-over-par 219, while Lee was 25th at 223. David Oraee of Greeley shot a 77 Thursday to finish at 225, good for 29th place.
British Columbia, led by individual champion Justin Shin (5-under 205), claimed the team title at 632.
The Junior America’s Cup competition features 17 golf associations from the western U.S., Canada and Mexico.
