CRAIG, Colorado – With Moffat County High School celebrating its Homecoming, it kept the fireworks to itself.The Bulldogs upended Eagle Valley, 42-0, Friday night in Craig.Eagle Valley coach John Ramunno said the Devils (0-6, 0-4 in the 3ASlope) appeared flat against the Bulldogs (4-2, 3-2)”They didn’t play too well,” Ramunno said. “I know Moffat County was excited for Homecoming, and their kids gave a great effort.Moffat County’s defense was able to put pressure on quarterback Nick Pietrack, and linebacker Jordan Wilson and cornerback Scott Mann were able to pick off passes.”We couldn’t get much going on offense or defense,” he said. “But I thought Seth Williamson played well and Dylan Block caught a few good passes.”After Moffat County’s wing-T offense got rolling, it was hard to stop, as the Bulldogs rushed for 275 yards and three touchdowns in addition to 121 passing yards and three touchdowns.After Moffat County scored on its first possession, Eagle Valley faced an uphill battle, Ramunno said. “It’s hard when you’re down by a lot to come back,” he said. “Our offense isn’t set up for long bombs.”
