Vail’s Lindsey Vonn trains for Wednesday’s giant slalom
WHISTLER, British Columbia – Lindsey Vonn has done giant slalom training in preparation for her next race at the Olympics.
The two-time World Cup overall champion will try for her third medal of the Vancouver Games in Wednesday’s giant slalom.
She writes on her Facebook page that she is “happy with my skiing” after a GS training session Monday that “went well.” The 25-year-old from Vail, Colo., took Sunday “completely off” to rest the bruised right shin that she injured in pre-Olympic training Feb. 2.
Vonn won the gold in the downhill and bronze in the super-G last week. She failed to finish the slalom leg of the super-combined.
