Weekend bike workshop geared toward women

The Luna Women’s Weekend is a two-day camp designed for women riders of all ability levels. A camp staff of four will lead participants through morning rides with coaching, while the afternoons include sessions on bike handling skills, bike maintenance and stretching for cycling. The $250 registration fee includes instruction, a T-shirt, water bottle and two lunches.

“It’s a great way to get gals to the next level with their mountain biking,” Stockdale said. “It’s definitely designed for all abilities and we have an incredible staff of instructors.”

Stockdale raced on the pro mountain bike circuit for seven years with several top-10 finishes on the World Cup and NORBA circuits. Stockdale currently races on the regional level and has won the Vail Mountain Challenge race series the past 10 seasons.

Assisting Stockdale for the Women’s Weekend are Sari Chwalk, who’s raced on the pro circuit the past three years; Jen Pinkus, an expert-class regional racer who races in the pro category locally; and Kelli Anthony, an expert-class rider.
