Winter Dew Tour returning to Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE, Colorado –The Winter Dew Tour, a season-long winter action sports tour, today announced that Breckenridge Ski Resort in Breckenridge, Colo. will host the first of three stops Dec. 18-20, 2009 for the Tour’s second season.
The Winter Dew Tour showcases top winter athletes from around the world competing in freeskiing (slopestyle and superpipe) and snowboarding (slopestyle and superpipe) for both men and women. Breckenridge Ski Resort will kick off the Winter Dew Tour season for the second consecutive year as a host resort.
“The Breckenridge Ski Resort and the town of Breckenridge are excited for the return of the Winter Dew Tour,” said Brett Howard, Marketing Director at Breckenridge Ski Resort. “The excitement and energy around this event provides the perfect fit for Breckenridge and allows us to showcase Breckenridge to the world. We feel this year will be no exception as some of the top athletes in the world will be here competing.”
“I’m really looking forward to be competing at my home mountain of Breckenridge for another season,” said Steve Fisher, who finished in second place in the 2008-09 Snowboard Superpipe Dew Cup rankings. “The pipe at Breck is my favorite, and I’m excited to see the level of competition at the first stop.”
