Women’s bike workshop weekend July 20-21

The Luna Women’s Weekend is a two-day camp designed for women riders of all ability levels. The camp staff will lead participants through morning rides with coaching, while the afternoons include sessions on bike handling skills, bike maintenance, yoga and stretching for cycling.

Vail Mountain Bike Camps is offering its second Luna Women’s Weekend to riders at a 20 percent discount, with the price falling from $250 to $200.

That registration fee includes instruction, a T-shirt, water bottle and two gourmet lunches.

Stockdale raced on the pro mountain bike circuit for seven years with several top-10 finishes on the World Cup and NORBA circuits. Stockdale currently races on the regional level and has won the Vail Mountain Challenge race series the past 10 seasons.

Assisting Stockdale for the Women’s Weekend are Sari Chwalk, who’s raced on the pro circuit the past three years; and Jen Pinkus, an expert-class regional racer who races in the pro category locally.
