High Ridge Hiking

Young hikers will explore life at its upper limits on the absolute highest ridges and peaks in Colorado. High-mountain passes and a 14-er accessible by van, will be the outdoor lab as participants create a photo journal of the toughest plants and animals in the world. Learn about the challenges of surviving in the alpine environment and plan a "hunting list" for the day and then travel by van to a high ridge or peak where students will identify, classify and document the amazing plants and animals we encounter through photography. Campers must be considered good hikers and should feel comfortable above treeline to enroll in this camp.
