Letter: Vote for Kim Schlaepfer for Holy Cross Energy Board

As a resident of the Eagle River Valley, an engaged member of our local energy community, and a local sustainability practitioner, I am excited to support Kim Schlaepfer for the Holy Cross Energy (HCE) Board of Directors. Kim has dedicated over a decade of experience to advancing local energy solutions that balance affordability, reliability and sustainability. Her expertise is exactly what we need to help HCE achieve its ambitious goal of 100% renewable energy by 2030, without compromising service or cost.

Kim’s leadership in energy planning and state-wide new construction sustainability has already delivered tangible benefits, such as improved efficiency and reduced energy costs for our region. Kim has supported HCE territory communities in developing innovative building policy solutions that lower costs for home owners and increase public health outcomes. She has a proven ability to bring people together and craft practical, community-driven solutions that work for everyone.

HCE members deserve a board member who will champion smart, affordable energy policies. Kim Schlaepfer is that leader, and I encourage my fellow co-op members to vote for her in this election.
