New 242-unit apartment complex breaks ground in Avon
A new set of apartments has broken ground in the Traer Creek area of East Avon, also known as “The Village (at Avon).”
The new multi-family housing development will be called Bosk and will consist of three L-shaped buildings, approximately 80 units each, located on 10.6 acres of land just west of Post Boulevard in East Avon.
The units will be market-rate apartments, including eight studio apartments that are 570 square feet, 99 one-bedroom units that are 878 square feet, 114 two-bedroom units that are 1,205 square feet, and 21 three-bedroom units that are 1,594 square feet.
The buildings will be four floors with underground parking under each building and surface parking in front of the buildings. There will be 182 garage spaces, 135 carports and 155 surface parking spaces.
An outdoor pool and spa will be available to all residents, as well as a community room and fitness center.

A new road has been recently constructed in The Village (at Avon) which will service the units. It has been named Crescent Hill Road and will mark the northern boundary of the project.
The first building is expected to come online 24 months from now, and the last building is expected to be completed in 30 months.
The builder is Prime West Development, which has been operating out of the Denver metro area since 1981.
President Tim Schlichting said the project came to Prime West through a mutual relationship with the Traer Creek land investment company, which owns much of the East Avon area.
“The senior leadership team and our team members are all active outdoor people, skiers, and so we obviously frequent the mountains for recreation a lot with our families,” Schlichting said. “But this is our first actual development project in a mountain community.”
Schlichting said the company got its start in commercial development — office and industrial and some retail, and then became active in multi-family housing over the last five years.
“We have several projects in the Front Range in various stages,” he said. “In the multi-family sector, we have two projects that were completed in 2024, one is in the Sunnyside neighborhood in Denver and one is out by the airport near the Gaylord Hotel.”
The Village (at Avon) was annexed into the town of Avon in 1998 and also contains the Traer Creek Plaza, the ECHSD Emergency Response Station, the Buffalo Ridge affordable housing complex, a Walmart supercenter, a Home Depot, the 240-unit Piedmont apartments, the 243 room Marriott SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites, and the Maverik gas station and convenience store.
