Vehicle chase led to police activity in Edwards

Just before noon on Friday, Jan. 5, an Eagle County alert warned the public to avoid an area in Edwards due to police activity.

The alert concerned a vehicle theft that turned into a pursuit by law enforcement, according to Ashley LaFleur, public information officer with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

“The pursuit ended at the intersection of Berry Creek Road and Hackamore Road in Edwards and three suspects have been taken into custody,” LaFleur wrote in a Friday email.

The Colorado State Patrol, Avon Police Department, Vail Police Department, and Eagle County Paramedic Services assisted in resolving this incident.
