The man who died at the hospital following a rollover crash on Interstate 70 around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, July 14, was Denver resident Connor Alan Parks, 36, according to Summit County Coroner Amber Flenniken.

Colorado State Patrol Sgt. Ivan Alvarado said a black SUV rolled while traveling eastbound on I-70 before going into the westbound lanes. The only passenger, Parks, was ejected from the vehicle, according to Alvarado.

State patrol has not yet determined a cause for the crash, but Alvarado noted heavy rain was reported at the time of the crash.

I-70 westbound closed around 4:50 p.m. Monday and reopened around 8:20 p.m. The eastbound lanes closed at the same time, and one lane opened sometime before the eastbound lanes fully reopened around 6 p.m.
